Pressed Glass Bead Pendant from Tom Dixon. A heavy pendant light made from extra thick pressed glass. Bead is manufactured in indus trial plants more com monly used to make architectural prod ucts includ ing head lamps or glass insulators. Part of the process requires each individual shade to be polished by hand for a lengthy forty minutes. The form was inspired by the molten globules of glass that come from the fur nace that are ready to be blown into form.
