My favourite convertible ride!
The 2010 Rolls-Royce Phantom Coupe and Drophead Coupe (convertible) are expected to see few changes after being introduced for 2009 and 2008, respectively. Both are 2-door models that are based on the larger Phantom sedan but are about 10-inches shorter, seat 4, and have unique rear-hinged power-closing doors. The Drophead Coupe has a power soft top; the Coupe is optionally available with interior headliner lighting that imitates the look of a star-filled night sky. A 453-horsepower 6.75-liter V12 is the only engine offered and it's mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. Available safety equipment includes ABS, traction control, and an antiskid system. The Coupe has front-side airbags and curtain-side airbags; the Drophead Coupe has front-side airbags designed to protect the head and torso, along with rear rollover bars that deploy in an impending tip. An extensive list of standard and available features include chrome 21-inch wheels, stainless-steel hood and windshield surround, and for the Drophead Coupe, a teak tonneau cover. These evaluations of the Coupe and Drophead Coupe are based on preview test drives of a 2009 and 2008 model, respectively.
