jeffstaple 1-2-1 with Scott Campbell

1-2-1 w/jeffstaple feat. Scott Campbell from jeffstaple on Vimeo.

A couple months ago, Staple Design embarked on a campaign for letsredu.com that focused on public school awareness in America. For that campaign they also interviewed several artists and designers who have been impacted by the school system themselves. Among the interviewees was New York tattoo artist Scott Campbell (whose list of clients includes Orlando Bloom, Robert Downey Jr., and Louis Vuitton), so Staple Design thought it best to release a Director’s Cut version of the interview. In the video, Campbell discusses the art of tattooing and how moving to New York City and interacting with other downtown artists like Dash Snow, Dan Colen and Wes Lang helped make art, which he had previously viewed as a stuffy, academic environment, much more relatable to him.
